TAY - MAKEUP BY KAYLA MAREE'S ASSISTANT

"Hi! My name is Tay. I began doing makeup on myself and family when I was 12, but by high school I had taught myself more and I continued to practice on myself. I watched YouTube videos and used Pinterest to help me! I was able to do my first wedding makeup in 2022 on my cousins wife! It was such a beautiful look. I was then noticed by my wonderful friend Kayla, who has been letting me come along for the ride to do makeup for more weddings, I have even created my own business to do outside of my work with her!

I am 21 years old, located in Niles, MI. I have lived here my whole life. I have two daughters, Amarah and Alanna. They are the reason for my happiness and they are the reason I do what I do! I also want to make my mom proud while she’s up in heaven watching me. Makeup is fun to me and takes me away from my mind. Safe to say that doing makeup makes me happy!!

Other than doing makeup, I like to spend time with my family and friends, clean, watch tv, and shop. I also like days where we stay in and rest.

Tay is my main assistant that I like to bring & work along side me for early start weddings, or larger bridal parties. I chose her to assist me mainly because of her passion and her drive! Through the many struggles we all face in life, she makes it a priority to work towards her passion and what she really loves to do. The first wedding she assisted me with was on September 23rd 2022. As of today, (June 6th 2023) she has came along with me to work 20 weddings! She has been more than reliable and all of my clients love her!

Tay is also a certified sanitation specialist. She has taken the course I require, and practices safe makeup application. She has also taken several 1:1 client lessons with me, to learn my technique of makeup application on a client so that her makeup style is very similar to mine. I bring along Tay to assist me with the bridal party's makeup only, not the brides makeup. I also always make sure to look at each persons end makeup look to make sure it is perfect, and will work through any adjustments that might need to be made.
